The New Moon in Capricorn is here, and it’s bringing some powerful energy! But this isn't just any New Moon—this one comes with the energy of the Black Moon, making it a time of deep spiritual reflection and renewal. So, before I get into my plans, let’s take a moment to talk about what this New Moon really means.
What is the New Moon in Capricorn?
Capricorn, an earth sign ruled by Saturn, is all about discipline, structure, and creating a solid foundation for the future. During this New Moon, we are invited to reflect on our long-term goals, take responsibility for our dreams, and align our actions with our deepest intentions. It's a time to set grounded, realistic goals and to plan for what we want to manifest in the coming months. Capricorn's energy encourages us to be practical, to build with patience, and to honor the work that is required to bring our visions into reality.
The Spiritual Meaning of the Black Moon
The Black Moon represents hidden energies and spiritual awakening. It’s the time that invites us to look deeper into our subconscious and face the parts of ourselves we may not have been ready to confront. The Black Moon symbolizes cleansing, releasing, and making space for new growth. It is a time of transformation, where we are asked to let go of what no longer serves us, including old patterns, limiting beliefs, and anything that’s been blocking our flow.
In this powerful union of Capricorn’s practical energy and the Black Moon’s transformational influence, we have an incredible opportunity to do some real spiritual work and set the tone for the year ahead.
My Plans Under the New Moon in Capricorn: Cleansing, Releasing, and Realigning
Now, I have been on a hard pause since November. Let’s get into what I’m planning to do during this powerful New Moon in Capricorn and Black Moon phase. After the past few years, I’ve come to realize how important it is to actively cleanse my space, body, and mind, especially when I’m stepping into a new cycle.
Cleaning My Altars: The altars I’ve created are sacred spaces where I connect with my spirit guides and ancestors. For this New Moon, I’ll be cleaning and resetting them to make space for new energy. This ritual isn’t just about physical cleaning—it’s about spiritually cleansing the space, ensuring that it is aligned with my intentions for the future. I’ll be refreshing the offerings and making sure that the energy is clear for new blessings.
Buying New Plants: New plants symbolize growth, abundance, and the nurturing of life. Capricorn is all about long-term growth and stability, so I’ll be bringing new plants into my space to represent the new intentions I’m setting. These plants will serve as a reminder that I’m planting seeds for the future and nurturing the things that are important to me. Plants not only beautify my space but also bring positive energy, and I’m excited to welcome some fresh green life into my home.
Smudging My House: Smudging with Patchouli & palo santo sticks, or other palo santa herb blend is a powerful way to cleanse the energy of my home. I’ll be smudging every room to clear out stagnant energy, release negative vibrations, and invite in a fresh flow of positivity and peace. This is a ritual that I make sure to do regularly, but under the New Moon in Capricorn and the Black Moon, it takes on even more significance. It’s about clearing out the old, so I can make room for new opportunities and growth.
Leaving Offerings to My Spirit Guides and Ancestors: My connection to my spirit guides and ancestors is sacred, and I always honor them with offerings of gratitude, food, gin and cigar smoke. During this New Moon, I to do what I do so they know I acknowledge their guidance, support, and love. I’ll thank them for their protection and wisdom, and ask for continued blessings as I move forward on my path. These offerings are a way to maintain a deep and respectful relationship with the energies that help guide me.
Decluttering My Mind, Body, and Spirit: Over the past few weeks, I’ve spent a lot of time decluttering—not just my physical space, but my mind, body, and spirit. When I say "declutter," I’m talking about letting go of old emotional baggage, negative thought patterns, and physical items that no longer align with who I am. These last few years have been heavy, like a ton of bricks, and I’ve been carrying a lot—especially when it comes to having people in my space who didn’t have the best intentions for me. The energy of the New Moon and Black Moon gives me the chance to let go of what no longer serves me and to release the weight that has been holding me back.
Why This Work is So Important
Going into the Year of 9, which is all about completion, transformation, and stepping into a new cycle, this spiritual work is essential. The Year of 9 carries a lot of beauty because it signals the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. It's a time for releasing the past and embracing the wisdom gained from the lessons we've learned.
For me, this is a time to reflect on the lessons I’ve learned, especially about boundaries and energy. I’ve realized how important it is to protect my space and ensure that the energy around me is aligned with my highest good. This is about recalibrating, realigning, and stepping into the new year with a clean slate—ready to embrace the blessings that are on their way.
As I go through this process under the New Moon in Capricorn and the Black Moon, I encourage you to do the same. Take this opportunity to clear away the old, set powerful intentions, and align yourself with your highest purpose. Whether it’s cleaning your physical space, decluttering your mind, or honoring your spiritual guides, this is a time for deep work and transformation.
Journaling: Write down the emotional or mental blocks that may be preventing you from moving forward. Be sure to write everything on a paper bag, fold it and place the Black Moonstone to help you uncover hidden feelings, and then Black Tourmaline to protect you from negative energy as you process these emotions. Leave for 3 days and then burn paper. Be sure to use some palo santo, myrrh and frankincense to seal the deal. Burn frankincense or myrrh for the 3 days and palo santo once you have completed the 3days. This is perfect since the 1st is the 3rd day. The first of the year and a new month.
Let go of what no longer serves you, and step into this new cycle with clarity, purpose, and a renewed sense of self. May this Black Moon energy support you in your journey of growth and transformation. Ase ✨
