Ocean Reset

To really understand, really connect and really let things be I used this reset as a jump start!!! Restarts are always necessary, especially when you have learned a new lesson! You have to let that ish sink in, so you can process the lesson and move forward.

For Selfie Vibes Sunday I took time to enjoy the Ocean! That to me is my real reset! Something about the ocean just helps me feel refreshed! I mean I know why now, but before when I didn’t I was always eager to reset by the ocean! Once I realized how therapeutic it was for me I made sure each year I headed south! It’s not the same up north!

Omi Olokun my spirit mother, my guide, my deepest support spiritually. I gained so much understanding with her and Oya. I am truly grateful for these moments.

Reset and Refresh was definitely needed.

So who is Olokun???

Olokun is the parent of Aje, the orisha of great wealth and of the bottom of the deep blue sea. Olokun is known as the ruler of all bodies of water and for the authority over other water deities.

Now to me the deep blue parts of the ocean makes me feel like there is some super powers flowing I really don’t play when it comes to not being able to touch the ground! I am not there yet, however I did sit and give thanks to her and Yemeya.

Yemaya is the orisha of the parts of the ocean where you can touch with your feet. The surface part of the ocean. She is the other half of Olokun, sometimes a sister and sometimes a wife (sometimes, both deities are androgynous). While Olokun is the Keeper of Secrets and rules over the depths of the ocean, Yemaya presides over the surface waters.

So imagine that mermaid that walks out of the ocean glowing and looking BEAUTIFUL.... that’s Yemaya!!!

So I couldn’t give thanks to one and not the other! It’s was beautiful I must say!
